The Annual Student Orientation program of Faculty of Science of the University of Peradeniya was held on 9th of June 2021 via Zoom online platform successfully with many participants of 19th batch.

The session was moderated by Pramod Nipunjith and Beenu sareena ,at the start of the session Osanda Amantha gave a short speech of Fundamental of Statistics .

Nearly 200 participants of newcomers were joined with the session and

the statistical circle was introduced to them.

The program commenced with a video clip of Statistical Circle was shown the subject activities to embraced throughout the year, highlighted the message of encouraging newcomers.

A special game event was conducted by Isuru Eranga and Dilan Dias for the newcomers through Quizzez.com web site , and winners are awarded.

Also they had a great opportunity to ask statistically based questions and cleared their doubts.

Annual General Meeting of the Statistical Circle University of Peradeniya was held on 31st of December 2021 via Zoom online platform, and the newly elected committee was appointed for 20/21.

The annual trip organized by the Statistical Circle of the University of Peradeniya was organized in order to develop the collaboration between the undergraduates and it was organized in such a way that the trip was important for studies. This visit was under the supervision of the academic staff and demonstrators also join our visit. For the last year 2019, this trip was organized to visit the Thalawakale Tea state.

Annual General Meeting of the Statistical Circle University of Peradeniya was held on 8th of August 2020 via Zoom online platform, and the newly elected committee was appointed for 19/20.

The annual gathering of Science Honor’s qualified undergraduates of Statistics and Computer Science was held on 10th April 2019 at Gal bungalow (University Premises) with the participation of the Dean; Faculty of Science, All the academic staff members, Demonstrators and honor’s qualified undergraduates. This gathering was held annually and organized by second-year undergraduates who got selected for the Honor’s Degree Programme in Statistics or Computer Science. At the gathering newly selected undergraduates, introduce themselves to the Lectures and Demonstrators.

The Statistical Camp is one of the main events organized by the Statistical Society of the University of Peradeniya. The Stat Camp ’17 was held at Sanasa Campus premises, Kegalle on 14th and 15th October 2017. The camp was held over a night and Academic staff members, invited guests and Demonstrators participate in the event. On the first day of the event, students were able to listen to the guest lectures by experts in the field. The night time circle organizes several extracurricular events. The main aim of this camp is to maintain and develop the relationship with the industry and to give a better understanding of undergraduates.
